Born on 3 January 1959 in Vancouver, British Columbia (B.C.), our family soon moved to Richmond, a small, sleepy, sparsely settled community just across the Fraser River to the south of Vancouver. Richmond, located in the delta of Fraser River, was originally known as Lulu Island.
